Meg's Review:

Favorite Quote: “Just know you’ll always be my once in a lifetime.”
This book blew me away. Connected was a breath of fresh air into my bookshelf. Totally was not expecting it to be as good as it was. It was amazing. Dahlia and River <3 Oh gosh. I really am going to have to redo my top lists. All these new amazing books are killing me. This book was so full of emotion and character development it was amazing. Kim Karr took this book to a new level with how she related music to the book. It elevated the scenes and set every chapter perfectly. Her writing is 5 star alone in my book regardless of the story. (Not that the story wasn't 5 star, because it was) I feel in love with the characters from the beginning. This book does an amazing job of giving you every detail of a situation. Like all good books you can create a picture in your head and watch it like a movie as you read. I felt the pain when Ben died. I was hurt for Dahlia, but I was at the same time excited for where her life would take her. River. Oh where to start. Drop dead gorgeous and everything that you want in a tortured Rock Star. He is Devoted to Dahlia form the start. I was so excited for them to continue with their initial meeting. It was perfect. Every scene, every chapter. They all set it perfectly. I cannot get over how quickly I feel for this book. Now the Ending. Oh the Ending. I cannot wait for the next book. This ending threw me for a loop. There were some things left open and I was hoping they would get dealt with in the final chapters. When they didn't I knew that the ending was going to be a shocker. Boy was I right. This ending was perfect. There were some hints, but I totally didn't see it coming. I know the second book will hold some answers and I cannot wait to read it. Keep up to date with Kim Karr on Facebook and make sure to pre-order!

Synopsis:

What if a ‘Once in a Lifetime’ could happen twice?

Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London's soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But, when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable.

When River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, comes back into Dahlia’s life, the intensity that fires their relationship combined with underlying feelings that have never died lead her to believe she has met her soulmate.

Struggling with confusion as old connections fade and new ones begin, Dahlia's grief begins to lift--but guilt remains. River wants to be the one to mend all that is torn within her.

But with a past that is never really gone, can their future survive?
