The Truth About Lies by Aly Martinez

This was SUCH A FANTASTIC READ! I should have learned my lesson with the last duo I read from Aly Martinez. THIS BOOK SLAYED. I don't have words for it.

I do actually. This work of literature messed with my head so much that over and over I felt like screaming at the characters.

It was twisted and suspenseful and truly left me in love with all of the characters I came in contact with. Who knew I would end up in love with a madam and her girls.

Sometimes I really need a story to completely takes my mind and get it lost inside its pages. A story to help me lost the day and just BE the story. Aly Martinez has this talent and by the end of this series you are SCREAMING for the next book.

It is that good.

I can't wait for the next read!

Synopsis:

Truth: From over a thousand miles away, I watched on the screen of my phone as two men murdered my wife. And I was helpless to save her.

Consumed by hate and rage, I spent four years running from my memories.

Until a shattered woman gave me a reason to stop.

Cora lived in a nightmare, but through sheer force of will, she’d turned it into something beautiful. She had a smile that could pierce the darkest soul. And with one glance, she shredded mine.

Lie: I was only there for a fresh start.
Lie: I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Lie: There was nothing I could do to save her, either.

But that’s the thing about lies—you never know who to believe.
