This book had me rereading from he first chapter. I started it and then had to go back to make sure I didn't read it wrong. Holly Heck. This book had me in circles. The books starts out and I am hooked. I love me a rockstar and I especially love me a sweet one. Then *BAM* it does a complete turn and I am thrown. This book gets dark. Dark to the point where I wasn't sure where it was going. I went so deep into it I didn't know which way was up. "Kidnapped. Starved. Beaten. I was alone and fighting to survive. When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me. I was wrong." Emily. I really enjoyed her. She was timid and vulnerable and in other instances so incredibly strong. She is torn from her life and thrown into a life of sex and fear. Worst of all her salvation is the source of her fear. When Sculpt appears and is a part of this she doesn't know what to think. What feelings to trust. The man she held out hope would save her is the one holding her captive. The man who taught her how to fight, taught her to use her anger, is the man she is blind sighted by. Now he is telling her to fear him. To obey him. It's the only way she will survive, and if she doesn't obey him, there are consequences out of his control. "You will fear me, Emily. And if you don't…I will make you." Sculpt is the type of character that just twists me. I never quite know what I want to feel with his type of man till the end. Till I know the whole story. But that defeats the purpose. So for half the book I was leery and angry at him, and for the rest I held onto my hope. I don't want to give anything else away other that to say this story twists and turns. It's a battle of emotion and decisions. Fighting a battle with life and within yourself to see what the real truth is. I couldn't get enough of this. I went into the story expecting one thing and came out with a million other instances that I never saw coming. This is the type of story I revel in. It was remarkably written and has Great secondary characters! I can't wait to read more about them and I hope we get a few more novels out of this series. Its going to be one of those that you read over and over again. 5 Stars. Amazon|Goodreads

Synopsis:

Love is like an avalanche. It hits hard, fast and without mercy. At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter, illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't doing bossy, and I like sweet. Then it all shattered. Kidnapped. Starved. Beaten. I was alone and fighting to survive. When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me. I was wrong. (It is highly recommended to read "With You" the novella first). *Warning: This book contains some disturbing situations, strong language and sexual content. Over 18 years. This is a love story with some dark elements. Dark contemporary romance. No cliffhanger and next in the Tear Asunder series is Ream's story (the band's lead guitarist).
