I love every single thing that Aster writes. She is an expert wordsmith that delivers romances that leave you complete.
This book? I laughed and I swooned and I was mad with the characters and I was a not-so-silent cheerleader for the couple page after page.
I absolutely love romances that span large time frames. This novel is one of those.
This is a second change romance that has a past packed with baggage upon baggage.
Jaxon was my favorite. I legitimately was his biggest cheerleader. I know mistakes were made in the past but for the minute I met him I was his biggest fan.
Then we had MIrabelle. The pursuit between them was hot and fun and truly one of those that you just completely fall for.
This isn't one of those novels with a ton of crazy drama, but it is one of those that is just enough angst and backstory that you can't stop loving it.
And swooning. This book had all the swoon.
Synopsis:
We spent a lifetime chasing firefly dreams
Jaxson and I devised a life list when we were kids in Holmes Chapel. Just a few things on that list:
*Climb the Eiffel Tower.
*Visit every zoo in the world.
*Eat peanut butter every day.
But all the promises he made dissolved into dust, so when he comes around years later wanting to go live out our list, I want no part of it...or him. The universe seems to agree with me because everything we try is a disaster.
The heart though—it's a tricky beast; I'm just not sure mine is strong enough to survive Jaxson one more time
