SO I am going to start by saying I NEED the next novel in this series. Need it. Not want, need. It is that fantastic and left me that hungover. I hated and loved and hated this book the entire time I read it. It was a mindscrew that I couldn't help but get lost in reading.
AHHH this book. THIS BOOK! I was enamored. This book wrecks you. Completely and utterly wrecks you. It is a twisted novel completely full of cheating and betrayal, that you absolutely fall in love with. Really, I know it doesn't sound like there is a possibility that you can fall in love with two individuals that cheat for an entire book, but you can, and you will. I am typically not a huge fan of cheating, I really have to love the story to be able to be okay with it, but oddly enough, in this case I was on board. I was in love with it.
I agree with other reviewers, in the fact that the way you feel about the novel does remind you of other novels with love triangles and cheating. But don't fret, it is completely different. It is edgy and new for its genre and you should be ready. You have to go into this book with an open mind. Let it tell you its story with no preconceptions.
I will leave you with this. I hated the heroine. Through the entire novel I thought she was stubborn and just couldn't make up her mind. I didn't read this book for her. I read it for our Hero. He was the reason I was addicted. He is the one that I was fighting for. The one I wanted to get their happy ending. But you will understand her. I promise you that. Even if you don't like her, you will understand her decisions.
I felt like this novel epitomizes the reality of being human. We aren't all living a fairy tale, things aren't always perfect and beautiful. Sometimes they are ugly. Actually, more often than not. This novel felt real. It wrecks you. It shows you some of the brutalities of honest human decisions. I loved it. Every. Single. Page. You want to read this novel. I swear it. It is that good. It is also a Cliffhanger, so be aware of that as well. But it does leave you with hope. So yeah. Read it.
