This was another one of Brandy's books that gave me ALL THE FEELS! We jump back to a character we haven't really thought about in a while and in doing so I was taken back to one of my favorite of Brandy's books. Loved it. This might be her best work yet.
We know Clint, he has been around in almost all the books in some way or another, and now it is his time to find love. With Emily in the picture it was inevitable that we would find out that secret past that hides behind his eyes. And that is exactly what happened. That past came running to the forefront with little warning, and it wasn't a past Clint wanted to deal with just yet.
This novel is about having demons. About facing one's past in order to truly start their future. It was a novel about healing and at the same time fighting for what you want.
This novel takes your through some rough times for both characters and it broke my heart. But it was in these rough times that they became who they are today. I loved it.
