Linde has done it again. I have been DYING for this novel to come out since I read her announcement, and it was SO MUCH MORE than I was hoping for.
Reyna and Beckham! I just can't, I need more of them and I need it now.
This novel was such a change of pace for Vampire reads. It reminds me of a move that came out a while back where vampires were mainstream and kind of ran the world. I Loved it. I also loved this book. It was new and exciting and my goodness, the build up in this book rivals all of Linde's other publications for my top read.
Also, this book has SO MUCH IN IT! There is a lot of world building going on and a lot of building of the story, while also developing the plot. I loved that I felt like I was learning the world as I was reading the story, rather than Having he book told to me before we dove into the fun parts.
I don't know if that makes sense. But I don't know how wiles to pt it. You dive in and get immersed into the read, but not in a confusing way. Loved it.
Reyna was a strong willed character that fought her own battles. I loved that she did what she needed to do to save her family. I also loved that she stuck to her guns and kept her attitude and personality through everything she endured.
I can't wait for the next novel in this series.
