I started this series after an author friend was raving about the first novel. I am SO glad that I jumped into it. This is a fantastic paranormal series that grips you time and time again. The characters are extremely well developed and the plot is absolutely riveting. This novella is your introduction to the main characters and in my opinion it is a MUST read. I felt like it was definitely needed to really grasp the full scope of the plot once you start the first full novel.
So. Jessica. I LOVE her as a heroine. I am not a huge fan of damsels in distress, while on the flip side I am also not a huge fan of heroines that want to take on all the trouble themselves with asking for help. Jessica is the perfect blend of these two types of characters. In this novella you get the first glimpse of her in all her craziness. She is a determined woman who is going to do what needs to be done.
We get to meet some of the important secondary characters as well. I fell in LOVE with some of them and was quite glad that I got this sneak peek of them before jumping into the first novel.
A fast paced novella that you can't stop once you start. IT is a quick read that I promise any paranormal shifter fans will enjoy. Truly an original premise that really grabs you.
