My Review:

This book. Its one of those books that warms your heart and leaves you curled in a ball with emotion. In a good way. A tale of true friendship and how at its best it knows no bounds. This was a story that dealt with sorrow, but in a way that let you see all the different sides of it: the Good, the horrible, and the heart aching. You journey into Breeze's battle with love and cancer head first.

Suffering alone for the past 8 months while battling her cancer, Breeze is wallowing in life. She's living at the bare minimum and hating it. Her one wish would be to have Harper with her, but she wont allow herself to tell him what is going on. Tell anyone whats going on. She doesn't want to burden them. Well. Life (and her neighbor and father figure) have a different idea. Breezes world is shaken upside down, and its in a great way. Harper is back and will not stand for her to live her life as she has.

Harper has earned himself a top spot on my Book Boyfriend list. I loved every part of him. The amazingness, that he was so completely and utterly wonderful, and most importantly, how much he LOVED breeze. He showed her in the most romantic way possible that her life was one worth fighting for.

Mia. I feel the need to talk about her a bit. I loved her. She may have been my favorite part of the book. She was strong and so incredibly smart. She made you see the worst and the best of the situation that her and breeze were facing, and then she showed you the best way to face it. I thought she added so much to the story, even if it was part that melted me in the end.

A truly wonderful story. Thoughtfully written and such an incredible story. A powerful message delivered in a tear-stained love filled package. Shining 5 stars. Loved it.

Synopsis:

Recommended for 17 years+. This book contains language which some may find offensive and sexual situations. Bree ‘Breeze’ Delany never imagined her life could sink so deep. That such intense pain could take up residence in her heart and shred her soul to pieces. And all it had taken was one little word to drag Bree to the depths of this despair, cancer. It took just one person to pull Bree from the darkness, her best friend Harper Somerville. Determined to show his Breeze the beauty in life no matter how short or long it is, Harper takes Bree on the road trip of a life time. Not only does Harper remind Bree how exciting and beautiful life is, but he also shows her a passion and love that she has only read about in her naughty romance novels. Screw happily ever afters, perhaps life was meant to be lived with happily ever nows…
