Capture by Rachel Van Dyken

Capture 5 Stars|Amazon|Goodreads Each novel in this world leaves me breathless and swooning. This one might top the lot of them. Rachel takes us to a whole new level with Dani and Lincoln. This story is one that had me in tears on more than one occasion. It was a story of love and perseverance even when life keeps throwing curves at you. We jump back into the seaside world but in a slightly different way. This novel is the first in the spinoff series, Seaside Pictures. We are back in the realm of Demetri and Alec as well as all our other favorites. I really enjoy when an author can continue to write books in the same universe without making it feel like we are reading the same story over and over. This is a special talent of Rachel's and it shows here. We are jumping into the movie picture side of this world while still holding to the feel of the past books. A new relationship with new challenges draws you in and there is no turning back. Once you start this novel and meet Lincoln and Dani, you can't help but finish the story. I am HOPING that you have read the other books in this world because it just makes the series THAT much more epic, but if you haven't you will be just fine all the same. This novel is the first novel in a new series, the other books aren't necessary, but I do recommend this if you want the full Seaside effect. Okay, now for the nitty gritty details about our heart throb star of Capture. Lincoln. Goodness did I adore him. He has earned himself a top stop on my Book Boyfriend list. He was a chivalrous character that made me swoon time and time again. I love when a character isn't crazy over the top and un believable. This character was down to earth and you really did just love him. He had his downfalls just as all characters do, but in the end I felt like he was just a regular guy trying to do things as right as he could. Dani. I loved her from the very first page. I also loved how she was developed through the story. She was a spitfire character and was a force to be reckoned with. Strong willed and not afraid to tell it like it is. But there is a reason she is the way she is. Our past has shaped us into who we are and with the every past comes the hurt that we endured. Not all wounds are visible and hers are the kind that sneak up and break you when you least expect them. She needs to heal and despite what she wants, Lincoln is going to help her do that. This is an original story full of heart breaking revelations that will leave you a mess of literary sparked emotions.
