Casted by Sonya Loveday

5 Stars|Amazon|Goodreads

This was a story about self-discovery and finding out the truth of ones past. To top the amazing book of a sundae, we got witches, or, casters as they are also referred to. I really loved this book and feel so lucky to have gotten and ARC copy of it to review from Sonya. She worked magic figuratively and literally with this book. She took something that is written about very often and really turned it into a completely original and captivating story. It deserves far more than 5 stars, but that is all I can give so it will have to do. This is one of those books that has just the perfect amount of action with its romance. Yep, you read correctly, action. Its got it in spades and ti fits perfectly with the storyline. What this book also has is a wonderful love story. One of those that really gives you that catch in your chest while your reading it. That "Click" feeling that tells you this book is THAT good. I got it. So will you. The characters are great. I couldn't get enough of them. All of them, not even just the main few, but all the supporting characters are really what pulled it al together. You become part of this world and are magically enveloped into it. With a fantastic plot line and wonderful characters, the book is sealed with exquisite writing. Some of it I just had to re-read for the pure fact that it was so captivating I wanted to relive it. Now the ending. Sonya and me must have a little talk because I think it is completely uncalled for to leave me with such a HUGE cliffhanger. How you gonna leave a girl hanging like that? So lets give her lots of support and show her how much we want this next book, because if the first is any indication we are going to be blown out of the water.

Synopsis:

“My mind absorbed everything in the spell book I clutched tightly to me. Pages ruffled inside of my head, urging me to remember things and then to forget them. Voices chanted with tempo rising at the breaking points of pain until the book vanished and words to an ancient spell scribed across my arms. Each stroke brought blood to the surface, imprinting words I could not read; words that would forever change who I was.” Jade had spent the majority of her life running from the Triad. A powerful group, who would stop at nothing to obtain Jade and the missing spell book for leader, Lorenzo’s, nefarious plans. And now that she has absorbed the highly coveted magic contained inside the missing book, there is nowhere left for her to hide. With the help of her friends, Jade steps out from the shadows and learns how to fight back. But no one is prepared for Elinor-the woman bound inside of the book that’s trapped in Jade’s mind. Now she not only needs to protect herself from the Triad, but from what’s hiding inside her mind as well. Jade never expected the answer to it all would revolve around love.
