At the end of The Player, Easton's life had just blown up in his face. He was ready to play, yet he was not declared ready, and he was traded. Santiago came into the picture and from that moment forward his life had gone downhill. That is, other than Scout. She was the one shining light he had and now she may have betrayed him. This book was a lot of revelations and even more growing with our characters. As secrets came out chapter by chapter, our favorites were forces=d to confront those secrets and let them become common knowledge. Scout has a lot of go through this book. With her job in the balance, the man she loves leaving, and her father dying, her life appeared to be fighting against her. With Easton battling his own issues, she needed to face hers and find a way to help shape her future. Easton, as I said, has so much to come to terms with in this novel. His life is changed despite his protests, and he has to do his best to change with it. It isn't an easy thing to come to terms with your limitations and is an even harder thing when those limitations change your life. This novel was wonderful. It was wrapped in a bow and full or all the emotional turmoil that we love from this author. Second to that, it had all the romance and swoon times that we also adore. Heart stopping. I loved the ending of this and honestly hope we get more from someone in this world. But if not, I did love it how it was.
