I grabbed this book up solely based on the cover. I won't lie. The desolate background totally had me intrigued with the torso on the front. I wanted to know the story. Why did it look like that and who was this man I was going to fall in love with. Boy am I glad that I saw it! This book was fantastic! A great start to a new series that I will most certainly be following!
This novel was a howl new world. literally. A world where everything is decided for you. After the war everything changed and this is how society was rebuilt. This is the life that Hudson grew up in. Now that her brother is ruling things are about to change even more and she was going to do all she can to make sure she can survive the changes.
Thence get to meet Conner. Can we say YUM! Not only is he a HOT outlaw, but he had bad written ALL OVER HIM. Without much of a choice Hudson is now under his protection and from here things only get better.
The only Catch? Conner doesn't know who is really is. That she is the sister of the current ruler.
I absolutely was in love with this story. It was a lot of sexy and a lot of chaos at the same time. I didn't know where it was going or what was going to happen next. SO many questions left unanswered and a TON of information just floating around. There are a ton of ways everything can go and the suspense really keeps you on edge. I love a good dystopian, but the typically lack in romance IMO and this novel is the perfect mix! I am ready for the next book. I want to know what is coming next! Hooked. I am hooked.
