This book was everything I wanted out of it and more. You get to finally see this epic group of misfits bring it to a close and they do so with a bang.
From Kaz, to Nina, all of the players in this game have their own agendas to get paid and be done. Some want to do good, and other want to find that win they have been working for. In the end my heart was content with where everything went.
All of the conspiracies that you think could possibly happen, do. All the plans that could fall through, inevitably will. This is the mindset that Kaz works with and its the only reason our "heroes" are going to make it to the end of this novel. We hope.
Can they save everyone and still find their own redemption? I think so. I jumped in ready to see them get the paybacks they caught out for, and that is exactly what they did. Tenfold.
Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn't think they'd survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they're right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz's cunning and test the team's fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city's dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.
