I couldn't wait to read this. With the ending to that past novel, we knew that this one was going to be great. S.C Stephens never lets down. With Mackenzie having lost everything, she is trying to pick up the pieces. Throw an ex into that mix and her life just got even more complicated. With Cox racing closed down and her having made the choice of Hayden over her family, she is left with no family and no team. Having been blacklisted from the sport that she loves, Kenzie is having to adapt. With the ex of Haydens having been hired onto his team, Kenzie is in her own worst nightmare. Hayden on the other hand is about as thrilled as you would expect. He is in love with Mackenzie and only wants to be with her and help her follow her dreams. With what feels like the world working against them, this was a novel of people trying to fight for their happy and not let life get in the way. The angst in this book and the palpable desire between characters is fantastic. I felt a lot of Thoughtless in this series. It brought back all the feelings and I was hooked. I can't wait to read the next one, it's going to be a wild ride.

Synopsis:

Feeling the rush comes with a price... Mackenzie Cox has lost everything—except Hayden Hayes. With Kenzie's racing career over, and her family no longer speaking to her, Hayden has been her rock, as she tries to pick up the pieces of what was once her life. But when Hayden's racing team hires his beautiful ex-girlfriend, Felicia, to be their new hotshot rider, Kenzie and Hayden's seemingly solid relationship begins to crack. Kenzie can only watch from the sidelines, as Felicia lives the life she was forced to leave behind, and as tension begins to build between Hayden and Kenzie, she wonders if Hayden isn’t the man she once knew.
