IT IS HERE AND IT IS AMAZING!
If you are a fan of PNR at all, or of Emily's words, go buy this. You can thank me later. Emily SLAYS with our epic duo and this novel masterfully sets up the rest of the series for so many possibilities.
First of all, I still adore ever single character in this book. Evander needs his own book. I swear it.
Second of all, I truly am head over heels in love with Lucas. He is perhaps my favorite vampire I have ever read. He lays his emotions out for Callie and it is beautiful ever single time he does it. I love the fact that Emily writes her Alpha males as vulnerable and simultaneously strong as heck. Which makes perfect sense in the real world, you just don't see that as often in PNR.
Okay, the actual story. THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING. I read it start to finish in a matter of hours and then blew up Emily with messages about how she could do me like this.
I know y'all, but I am a crazy fangirl. Accept it.
Also, this book was ALL THE STEAMY TIMES. I swear I turned my AC on a few times while reading. We got SO much done plot wise as well, but, Naked. Lucas. Enough said, AMMIRIGHT?
I already and chomping at the bit fro the next book because I already know I am going to love it.
Synopsis:
Everything has a cost.
I never thought the cost of falling in love could be my life. But when the Vampire Council gets reports of increased magical activity in the surrounding areas, they give the order for vampires to kill any witches they come across. I trust Lucas to never hurt me, but he’s not the only vampire in my life, and let’s just say the others aren’t my biggest fans.
While I’m busy trying not to be come vampire chow, something dark and powerful is surrounding Thorne Hill, infecting everything—and everyone—that gets in its path. If the darkness gets to the Ley line, then the whole town is doomed.
I won’t go down without a fight, but how can I fight something I can’t even see?
