The second novel in The Houri Legend's series was a fast paced and fun ride. I can honestly say I enjoy it just as much as the first. It is a nice change to read an out of the box paranormal like this and Jasinda delivered it wonderfully. I was a fan of the first book, but this novel blew that one away. I felt it was a lot more relatable and definitely had a hook that you couldn't ignore. We jump into Carson and Leila's story and it is just as wild as ride as you would hope. This is novel about trying to fight love and not really having a choice in the matter. Sometimes we have to do what we know is best for us. I adored the characters in this book. Leila is fiercely loyal and yet so compassionate, while Carson is the guy you want answer about. We met him in the first novel, but you really get to know him here. I felt like this novel really started to bring things together and give you sustenance to get hooked on. I loved the story line and the easy development of the characters. It was a thrilling read that I won't soon forget. The perfect blend of Romance and Paranormal. This is a novel that readers of all romance genres can enjoy.
