I never know what I am walking into with Alessandra. This novel blew my mind. I literally held my breath reading half of it and blushed with the second half. I hands down can say this book is at least twice as good as the first novel.
This book was twisted in a wonderful way. After the ending to book one (Updated Ending) Deanna is trying to find her way. Life has most certainly changed from book one and she has had to change with it. The big part? She still is trying not to kill. Now, we can all agree that Deanna has not had the easiest life and oddly enough I LOVED her character. She is the complex type of character you really have to take the time to get to know. This novel is all about that. Well, that and killing.
We still have the even growing Deanna and Jeremy story line, but a new twist is thrown in with this novel. Let me introduce our man of the hour, Marcus. Now, with book one things were definitely twisted. This novel? Well this novel takes it to a WHOLE new level.
We have lots of character development in this novel with a plot line that won't let you turn away no matter how on edge it puts you. Book one introduced us to this dark life and this novel opens the doors the rest of the way. Hands down Alessandra's best book yet.
