Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she’s about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it… I am the exception to the rule. In a world full of willing women, I’m a challenge to the roguish and achingly handsome Colton Donavan. A man used to getting exactly what he wants in all aspects of life. He’s the reckless bad boy constantly skating that razor thin edge toward out of control, on and off of the track. Colton crashes into my life like a tornado: sapping my control, testing my vulnerabilities beyond their limits, and unintentionally penetrating the protective wall around my healing heart. Tearing apart the world I rebuilt so carefully with structure, predictability, and discipline. I can’t give him what he wants and he can’t give me what I need. But after a glimpse beneath his refined exterior into the dark secrets of his damaged soul, can I bring myself to walk away? Our sexual chemistry is undeniable. Our individual need for complete control is irrefutable. But when our worlds collide, is the chemistry enough to bring us together or will our untold secrets and battle of wills force us apart?

Meg's Review:

I started this book because my fans were raving about it. Not just a " Hey check this out" but I got mass messages about it, not to mention its nomination and subsequent wins in my Literary awards. How glad I am that I took the time to read it. I was engulfed in this book. From that first chapter meeting Colton and Rylee I was done for. I knew it was going to be THAT type of romance that had me screaming at them at some parts and swooning at others. Oh was I right. Rylee was such a great character! I loved the way she was developed bit by bit int he story and you slowly learned about her past. I felt it was like meeting someone in life. You didn't get her whole back story, or even a bio about her. You met her and Colton right at the start and learned about them as the book went on. She has such a past that would wreck most people and yet she took it and because the wonderful person she is. I Love her attitude and her boys. Some of the scenes with her inner monologues just melted my heart. She's such a genuine persona and yet still has such a great personality. Just an overall great character. Colton, or Ace as you will come to really know him as is just as great a character. I feel as if I raved about Ryles but not much about him. Well he is pig-headed, stubborn, hot, closed off, a slut, and many more unsavory things, but he is also loving, true, honest, and knows what he wants. That my friends is Rylee. He wants her and he is going to have to make some hard decisions to make that situation work as you will come to see. He has his own demons of het past and still present to face and its a battle that will tear through some of his relationships and most of his past. He is one of those Book Boyfriends you just fall for in every way. I wanted to scream at him by the end of this book and I really just can't WAIT to see where this journey takes us next. This book had a fantastic plot line and even better development as it went on. You had so much going on in the book but it was done in a way that you never lost view or track of what plot line you were on, or what character you were dealing with. Wonderfully written. Overall this was a 5 start book. I loved the characters and everything about them. I loved reading their feelings, their personal thoughts, and the steamy and sometimes emotional situations they got themselves into. I highly recommend this read to any romance book lover at all.
