Fast forward two years and we find Violet on a far different path than I had envisioned for her. Her soul is broken and she is a shell. This novel was just as wild a ride and it broke my heart as much as every other novel in the series. It also brought the perfect ending. Not everything always goes as planned and this novel is the epitome of that.
I absolutely feel for Lincoln in this novel. I felt like he finally just said Enough to the universe and took things into his own hands. Lincoln is read yo really fight for Violet. This time it isn't up to her. She left him and he let her go because he thought she was happy. Now, all bets are off. He is going to make her open her heart to him and accept that this love is what they were meant for.
I felt like this was one of the best series enders that I have ever read. It encompassed everything I loved about the series and really gave me full closure on the characters and their lives. I can't wait to read more from this author. If her other works are anywhere near this series, they will be highly addictive as well! Don't miss the whirlwind that Empower embodies. It is a novel you wont want to miss.
Synopsis:
It has been two years since Violet Eden walked away from the city, her friends, her future and - most importantly - her soulmate, Lincoln. Part angel, part human, Violet is determined to stand by the promises she made to save the one she loves.
Living in the perpetual coldness of a broken soul she survives day to day as a Rogue Grigori in London.
But when an unexpected visitor shows up at her door, the news he bears about someone she swore to protect leaves Violet with no choice.
Even worse, she fears that this might all lead back to the night she tries hardest to forget. And what was taken without her permission.
Violet is going back to New York ... and she knows exactly who is going to be there.
With Phoenix in her dreams and Lincoln in her heart she knows it is only a matter of time before the final choice must be made.
