This book blew the previous two away and left me completely enthralled with this series. I felt like it passed some unknown boundary and divulged into the core of what makes an amazing series with this book. I read cover to cover without ever taking a break. This book captivated. Its an All-Nighter worth book so prepare yourself. Just as the first two you are sucked in from page one. We start off with this book where book 2 left off. I love when a series does as it gives the feeling of you not missing a thing. I find it always adds to the build up and this book didn't let down.
Life has been throwing bumps in the road at Ethan and Brynne from day one. This book is no change in that. We come back to find them on their way to escape in seclusion. Terrified for Brynne's safety you are on key with how high emotions are where the book starts off. Ethan and Brynne are as explosive and in love as ever and nothing will phase that.
They are each others balance and it is sultry and powerful to witness as they change and develop even more as characters and lovers in this book. Ethan's past is haunting him and he must let Brynne in. She is the calm to his storm, but can he lose control long enough to do that? Brynne is a target and Ethan is the means to her survival. He anticipates, acts, and plans for her ultimate safety. But can Brynne let go and be protected?
Theses are the things this book throws at you. Told you, its brings out the big guns. We dive into this relationship and the plot of the story. This book has characters that stay with you far after the story has been told. Even in this books case I am not sure this book is fiction. These characters live in my mind, and my heart is invested in the plot of this story as much as Ethan's. I say no. Its not ficiton. When you are reading, this book is your reality.
