Finding Me by S.K. Hartley

5 Stars|Amazon|Goodreads

I should have known after reading Finding You, that this book would be a wild ride. It most certainly was. The book is a constant uproar of your emotions. We jump right back where we left off. Prepare yourself. It is non stop once you start reading. Neva is broken. Broken more then I think anyone thought was possible. Throw in some twists with Logan and Angel, and things aren't looking great. They are actually looking quite bleak. Neva is forced to deal with herself a lot in this novel. She has to come to terms with what has happened in her life. She has to face the fact that she hasn't really been living, and it is time for her to do that. While she is doing this, she is also facing Angel's past. Everything came to a head in Finding You and now it is time to process it. For each of the characters this book was about facing demons and accepting truths. It was another hard and emotional ride to take with S.K. Hartley. She pulls you into the depths of these characters and forces you to face their demons with them. She evoked emotions that I didn't think were possible to feel while reading. I don't know what else to say about this novel. If you loved the first novel, or were even the fence, read this one. This novel will give you more answers then you knew you needed and leave you breathless. I cannot wait to read the conclusion of this novel. It is definitely a top read for me.

The lines are blurred between what is real and what isn't, the darkness that was once a place I feared was now a place of safety. If I stayed in the darkness, the hellish reality of what was truly happening no longer seemed real. But I was about to be pulled out from under the consuming blanket of dark shadows, and plunged into the murky depths of my past. I was about to be shown my demons and all it's evil sides, all of it's pain and grief. I could only hope I survive it. What happens when the world you once knew crumbles and falls at your feet? Who will find me? Who will save me from my demons? My dark prince or my white knight... And will I find myself in the process.
