My Review:
This was one of those books you compare to others but it just blows you away. It is a story you feel like you have read, but with the epic twists and interesting plot you just can't put it down. It has the twist from the typical arrangement book. It was a book about facing one's secrets. And Oh My do our lovers have them in spades.
This is also another of those mind twists books. But I love that kind. They take a little wrapping around to love but once you do you are hooked. I couldn't put it down. With the problems looming over the characters heads in the book you are on your toes waiting for the ball to drop or the bomb to explode.
”I’d like to pay you to help me with a problem. I believe you’d be perfect for the job.”
“You win. My curiosity is piqued. What’s the job?”
“I need you to break up an engagement.”
“Um, what? Whose?”
Hudson leaned back, his dazzling gray eyes flickering in the strobe lights. “Mine.”
The chemistry is electrifying and terrifying all at the same time. Its palpable while you are reading. Its one of those that you need a glass of wine and a full night to sit and read because I promise, with the sex scenes that lay in wait for you, you aren't going anywhere.
The plot line also really has you reeling. I found it great and Loved the originality of it with the story type that we have seen before. It added to it and took it to that next level.
"We were both vulnerable now. Two damaged souls spilling our brokenness in a private therapy session. Was this what he had wanted between us? Sharing like this,without judgment, without shame? It was…nice."
The characters were likable and lovable and I found them to be very well developed. Easy to fall in love with. I said Likable only because some parts you just want to scream at them. But hey, that's part of what makes a stellar character.
Great ending. Its not a CH, but it does leave you wanting for the next book. In a GREAT way. I can't wait to see what dark turns it takes. It could go a multitude of ways and some of which could involve major therapy. A really wonderful love mind twist book. I loved Fixed On You. Give it a read!!
