Pearl and Alexandre. What to say about them? Pearl is 40 and divorced, and Alexandre is a 25 year old successful billionaire. Kinda Cliche but this book did indeed have its own unique story line. I was pleasantly surprised. I age difference bothered me a bit until I got to know Alexandre more. He is very mature for his age and they are indeed a good couple. Alexandre is set to prove some things to Pearl about herself and about them, she just needs to have some trust. They both have some fallouts in the relationship and some things definitely need to be worked out but it was a good read.
The author does a great job in her descriptive writing scenes. The places the visit the things they see. It gives you a clear picture of what you are experiencing. I felt like that was a big part of the book for me.
This book was an interesting read to say the least. I really just couldn't get into it like I had hoped. Maybe because of the age of the heroine? Who knows. The story line was also a little bland for me. I like there to be some sort of controversy and in this book I felt as though it was blown over a bit, or downplayed. When there could have been a blow up, there was something small but then it was if it didn't happen in the chapters to come. Just not my style I guess. I also didn't like how many nicknames there were for Pearls Vagina (V-8, Venus, Pearlette). Like literally a ton of them. It really put me off big time.
I will be reading the second one and going in with an open mind. I want to see where the story goes and if I will enjoy it :D
