Loved this novel. I started by Ben Journey with the Blurred Novella and had to jump into this right away. I was yet again hooked by a character in Kim's world. I was one of those people who really wanted to love ben. I saw his side and I thought he deserved his happily ever after too. Dhalia was MEANT for River. That means she was never meant for Ben. Still following? That meant that his someone was still out there and I was pretty sure her name was Bell. Thus, you have how my addiction to Ben started. I wanted that darn HEA and I was determined to get lost in this novel till I found it. Kim did not disappoint. Now. The story. Ben and Bell have a past. If you read the rest of the Connections Series you will know this. If not, go read it. You will be confused otherwise and will be doing this series an injustice. Bell and Ben have an undeniable attraction to each other. Even from across a room its blatant on their faces. Well, to each other it is. From a shift of the eye, or a downcast face, they can read each other like a book. But that past they have hanging between them holds secrets that could tear everything apart. Ben and Bell didn't start out in the best of situations, but that doesn't mean they can't have a future. All parties involved int he past have forgiven and moved on, why shouldn't these two get another chance. Though, it doesn't seem to be what they both want. That desire and attraction is still present in full force, but Bell wont allow herself to get hurt again. She won't allow herself to succumb to it. Cue the tension filled tango. This novel isn't all hearts and healing. This story is filled with hard truths and brutal wake-ups for its characters. They have a lot to face and things to answer for. I felt like a chew toy for these characters. They pulled at me from both sides and I just couldn't decide. They both drove me crazy and won my heart. I loved getting the small visits from other characters in the series, I felt like it ensured that you kept them in mind while reading. Ben and Bell were in the middle of everything and you needed to not forget that point. A wonderful story that I couldn't put down. With each novel in this series Kim Karr outdoes herself. I can't wait to see what comes next. This is a Must Read.
