From Darkness by Staci Hart

Another one knocked out of the park. This book brought all the tears. Not as much as previous novels I have read from Staci, but it brought them none the less. This series is like an addiction. I imagine it is quite similar to how Data feels for Area because even knowing it is going to wreck me, I can't help but to read it anyway. Dita is up against Athena and the stakes have never been so high. I swear if I wants obsessing about Dita and her love life, Josie sure kept me busy. I felt like this novel was part romance and part thriller. I honestly didn't know hat was going to happen and it was riveting. Not only did we have this chaos, but at the same time we had Athena's story to learn and it was heart breaking. I know this is a proviso series Staci had written, brought back with revisions, but as a reader enjoying it for the first time, I am hooked, line and sinker. I can't wait to read the next novel because there HAS TO BE ONE. There just must. Buy it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2fZWIf4 Add it on Goodreads

Synopsis:

Bestselling author Staci Hart brings you an addictive romantic mythology series where love is the ultimate game, and Aphrodite always wins. I never wanted to leave her. But I had no choice. I’ve spent the last three years raising my daughter and wishing for things I couldn’t have. When I came back to New York, I thought I could find my way back to her. But that path was lost, grown over and hidden from everyone, especially me. Her obsession over her best friend’s death is dangerous, and the man she’s after could put her life at stake. She’ll never let it go, not until he’s behind bars or dead. She just doesn’t realize it might not be him who pays in the end. If only she’d let me help her. If only she’d let me in. When she sets her mind to something, that’s it. But there’s an exception to every rule, and I plan to be the exception to this one. And I’ll protect her until my very last breath, whether she wants me or not.
