Game Changer by Rene Folsom

GameChanger

5 Stars|Amazon|Goodreads

Another novel that had me in its thralls from the very start. I love just about everything Rene writes. She has a talent that know no genre limits. From her contemporary stories, to her paranormal it is never a dull read. Game changer is just the same! An author who writes under wraps and a video game company owner. Can you see where this novel is already going to be interesting? Maci writes under a pen name and is a relatively big author, while Liam is a non stereotypical geek. After a chance meeting, things between Maci and Liam just get deeper and deeper. With a story like this you know there are going to be secrets that must come to light, as well as scenes that leave you hot and bothered. This is my FAVORITE type of read. I love when a book can change its feeling from page to page without you getting whiplash. This is a fun but still light read that you will thoroughly enjoy. I might even venture to say it is a contemporary/erotic romance that might have light romantic comedy streaks in it. Just a bit, enough to make me giggle a few times. A truly great read that left me itching for the next book. I can't wait to see where Rene takes it next!

Synopsis:

Maci strives for one thing in life—anonymity. With her writing career in full bloom, all she wants is to work in peace while concealing her true identity from the public. Though readers love the science fiction worlds she creates, Maci knows that gender stereotypes could damage her career if she is exposed as a woman. Liam is the envy of all gamers as the lead developer for nZone Studios. Over time, he builds walls around himself, keeping people at arm’s length who only gravitate to him for his material possessions rather than who he is as a person. With thick barriers around their hearts and their past looming in the shadows, Liam and Maci challenge each other by slowly peeling away their protective layers and seeing each other for who they really are. It doesn’t take long after their chance meeting at a coffee shop for them to become one another’s game changer. Note: This contemporary romance novel is the first book in the Playing Games series and contains adult situations meant for ages 18+. The prequel to this novel, The Wager, is an optional novella available at all major retailers and only meant to give a little extra back-story about the characters.
