If you don't have Amo Jones in your life already, not in the time to rectify that. This book SHOOK me. I definitely had tears. I wont spoil anything. But guys, this book was hands down on of my favorite reads from Amo ever. Ever. Saskia was life.
This was a story of deceit and chaos. It was a story that loved fiercely and hurt just as brutally. Killian and Saskia as are perfect as they are toxic and this story shows you their depth.
The thing I love about his series the most is that it is as full of love as it is the darkness and twisted parts. Amo does a perfect job of wrapping you up so tightly in the story that you don't want to stop reading once you start. You spend the entire time reading trying to piece things together and once the answers start to show you are floored by them.
This book guys. The twist in it were like nothing you could see coming. My heart hurt as much s it was excited to see what was coming next. I am left salivating for the next book in this world. I loved the little extras we got in this one and they made the book even that much more sweet.
Synopsis:
She was everything that I wanted.
He was everything that I despised.
Until she wasn’t.
Until he wasn’t.
Killian Cornellii was a walking calamity. He reached inside of me and touched every single inch of my ruined soul, but he didn’t just touch it. He caressed, petted, and captivated it. He tailored me to fit into the palm of his hands. The same hands that possess so much cruelty, were the very same that comforted me.
I thought I knew him.
He thought he knew me.
This isn’t a fairy tale, or some achingly beautiful story about two soul mates who instantly fall irrevocably in love with each other.
This is a story about a love so painful, so rich, that it destroys everything and everyone around it.
Including ourselves.
Midnight Mayhem is the platform to which Killian performs his tricks on, but the greatest trick wouldn’t come from him.
It would come from me.
Tricksters don’t have hearts.
They just pretend that they do.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
