REVIEW: Jaded Hearts by Harper Sloan (Loaded Reply #1)

Goodreads|Amazon

I have a new obsession and her name is Wrenlee Davenport. This novel rocked my world. Pun intended. Harper gave us a heroine and seared her to our souls. I really dig the whole rock star romance genre and this was exactly that with the security twist that we love from Harper Sloan. The novel follows Loaded Replay as they finish up a tour and decide what they are going to do with their careers next. More importantly it covers the fun of hiring security. Said security being from Corps Security. I loved it. Every page. The struggle that Wren faces as the face of the band, while also being the most wanted woman in the rock world. All of this on top of the chaos of this new life. Wren has lost her love for it. She is searching and something and she doesn't know what. It hurts your heart reading how she feels day after day. It was a journey to take. Again I will reiterate how much I loved it. A story full of music and chaos with the emotional strings we love to watch be strung. Jaded Hearts is a story of finding love and letting it heal you.

The Blurb:

Signing with Brighthouse Records was supposed to be everything we ever wanted—our better life. Our chance at everything we never had but always wanted. All our dreams would finally come true and we were on top of the world. It was our chance at the happiness we never had in life. Our every desire was at our fingertips and the power of that feeling was all consuming. But then it took every dream we thought would come true and it slapped us in the face with the cold hard reality. Dreams were just that…something that floated on the cusp of untouchable, taunting you with every graze of your fingertips before slipping even further away. Happiness…that feeling is a joke. In the end it became painfully obvious that each of us would always have each other, but we would forever be alone. *Jaded Hearts is the first book in the Loaded Replay series.*
