Oh My Goodness. I grabbed this ARC when the author posted about it and I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID! I absolutely devoured this read. It was the perfect read after Kingdom of Ash and the BEST cure for the hangover that book gave me.
Problem is,
I NOW HAVE THE BIGGEST HANGOVER from this book EVER!
Merciless is not the read you think it is going to be and the twists that are coming, you won't be prepared and it is the best.
Mercy. I don't even know where to start with this girl. She was a mess and also one of the strongest characters I have read in a while. Plus, she's an assassin. That automatically makes this an epic read. This was a wonderfully crafted world with a cast of characters that leaves you guessing through the entire read.
The author did a fabulous job of building you up in this read because the second novel is going to wreck me and I am completely ready for it. If you have a change and LOVE a good YA high fantasy/dystopian read, GO BUY THIS!
