Meg's Review:

A fantastic start to a new series from Jodi Ellen Malpas. I had followed the teasers for this novel and jumped on it the first second I could. I am a Huge fan of the This Man series, and was a little nervous on how I would like this new one. Could it live up? Would I fall for this "M" character? Well, I did. Favorite Quote:

"...It's desire. And it's telling me that I'm about to experience something life altering."

This novel follows Livy and M. Livy is a 2 yr old with a not-so-exciting life. She is a barrister and caregiver to her elderly grandmother. Other then some semi socializing with her friends, Livy doesn't go out much, and she certainly doesn't date. Until a captivating gentleman stops into her coffee shop and makes quite the impression.

"...I finally reach the conclusion that M stars for Mor*n."

M. Well, Livy makes quite the impression on him and he isn't one that likes things interfering with his expectations. What Livy doesn't know, is that M is a force to be reckoned with. When it comes to Livy he losses all control and all rules are void. ONeNightTeaser Livy is a good girl. She is not the girl who jumps into bed with just any guy that she meets. She has her own rules that she follows. Ideals she sticks to. M defies all her ideals and makes her go against everything she thinks she wants.

"Because you seem like a sweet girl who should get more from a man than the best f*ck of your life"

The chemistry in this book is palpable. Jodi outdoes even her hottest scenes from TM and gives you a whole new man to fall in love with. The storyline was a little predictable up until the ending. I was okay with the stuff I did see coming. The book had me in stitches at some points, and fanning myself at others. It was a wild ride that ended with a cliffhanger that had me gapping. I am highly anticipating the next novel in this trilogy and definitely recommend it as a Must Read.

Synopsis:

Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He's heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she's almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she'll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin . . . signed M.

All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure. Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man. He's obnoxious but well-mannered. He's a gentleman but aloof. He's passionate but emotionless. Yet the fascination is so powerful, Livy can't deny him... or herself.

M awakens something in Livy, something deep and addictive that she never knew existed -- and that she fears only he can satisfy. But she senses that behind the fast cars, fancy suits, and posh apartment, he's aching inside. To have him, body and soul, she'll have to brave his dark secrets. Delving into his world and breaking down his defenses become her obsession - an obsession that could shatter her heart beyond repair..
