Guys, this book was absolutely beautiful and full of love and laughs and growth. Plus, SWAY.
I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to fall more in love with this series but I did. I fell head over heels with it, quite literally. I have half a mind to sing my husband and I up for Swing classes because I am alllll about them now. I watched a million videos after reading this.
But back to the story. The love story.
The story that hurt my heart and had me resonating on so many levels.
I sometimes sit and just ponder how exactly Staci can craft so many new characters and have each and every single one of them be completely relatable. You honestly feel as if they are your best friends by the end of every single read.
This one? This one hits yo in the heart over and over and Val was absolutely LIFE. She was full of all of the insecurities that we rarely talk aloud about, and she shared them with us on her journey to face her fears and jump.
Throw in some tie bits about other girls we LOVE and OH MY I need the next read and I need it STAT!
Synopsis:
He’s a player.
He plays the bass with expert fingers. He plays women with intoxicating charm. And he’ll play me with the ease of a virtuoso.
Who better to teach me to play than the master himself?
I’m his model student, front row, pencil sharp. Pick up lines? I’ve got them. Free drinks? By the dozen. Kissing? Let me grab my chapstick.
But the most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that there’s so much I don’t know. Like why his touch sets off a chain reaction straight to my nethers. Or how I’m certain each kiss is the best I’ll ever have, until the moment his lips take mine again.
There’s so much I don’t know.
Like the fact that I’m only a bet.
But we are what we are. He’s a player, through and through.
And I’m the fool who fell in love with him.
