What did I think?

Loved it. If you are a fan of sports romances second chance love, and super strong characters, than you will love this series. Heck, even if you don't like sports at all, you will really enjoy it. When Leo makes his big move to his new team, the last thing he expects to greet him is his Ex, Georgia. Their parting is one of the sorest spots in his past, and he six years later, it was the last thing he saw coming. The moment they see each other things are immediate. I loved the push and pull in this novel. Georgia was a broken character and still dealing with her past. While they could not deny what was between hem, it was a beautiful thing to watch unfold through the chapters. I adore Leo. He was exactly what she needed, just as she was what he didn't know he was searching for. This novel was beautiful and sexy and great. I can't wait to read the next novel and will certainly be reading The Ivy Series from Sarina Bowen as well. I can't seem to get enough of her writing. Series that flow and characters that really find a space in your heart. Rookie Move was a wild ride that I absolutely adored and will likely read again.

Synopsis:

The first novel in a sexy new series featuring the hockey players of the Brooklyn Bruisers and the women who win their hearts—from the USA Today bestselling author of the Ivy Years series. In high school they were the perfect couple—until the day Georgia left Leo in the cold... Hockey player Leo Trevi has spent the last six years trying to do two things: get over the girl who broke his heart, and succeed in the NHL. But on the first day he’s called up to the newly franchised Brooklyn Bruisers, Leo gets checked on both sides, first by the team’s coach—who has a long simmering grudge, and then by the Bruisers’ sexy, icy publicist—his former girlfriend Georgia Worthington. Saying goodbye to Leo was one of the hardest things Georgia ever had to do—and saying hello again isn’t much easier. Georgia is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional, but when a press conference microphone catches Leo declaring his feelings for her, things get really personal, really fast....
