This book was Hot. This book was also Wonderful to get lost in. I read it as the Complete series and adored it. Carter has definitely been added to my list of Hot Hunks. The pantry ripping alone seals the deal with him. Top it off with the great personality and dashing good looks and he is the whole package and more. He was a great character and his and Eva's story is a great one. I read some other reviews where it was compared to some other well known books, but take my advice and form your own opinions about it. I found it original and sexy. Dear Carter is our Alpha. He is controlling and infuriating and just Carter. Some points in the book I wanted to scream at him and others all I could do way sigh. He was a full circle character. In this book you got to know all his sides and I felt that it gave him more depth. Eva. Oh Eva had no idea what hit her when she saw Carter. Well she did, but she didn't really. He saw her and she was his. That was it. She wasn't given an option, not that she needed one. He was going to have her. She was such a great character. So full of personality and emotion. She wasn't your timid heroine. Nope. She was independent and strong willed. Well that is until Carter came along. Her wills evaporate even when her mind says otherwise. The heart wants what it wants. This story had it all. It had the chase and the romance, it had the crazy happy parts and the "What are you doing!" parts. I was sad to see it end honestly. I fell in love with the world and hope to get the chance to dive into it again.It was a page turner but wasn't one that left you wanting at the end. 5 stars for sure.
