This novel as fantastic. I am absolutely thrilled that this was already out by the time I finished book one, because I needed it. Kerry Heavens shines in this novel. I thought book one was as good as I could get, but she proved me wrong!
Both of our characters are head over heels for each other, and the are both in absolute denial about how the other could possibly feel. This novel really forces them to look t their feelings and be open with each other. They have to move past their hurt and see the happy that is right in front of them. This novel is where they get down to the details and really give themselves a chance at happy. We only get so many chances in life, this could be their last.
AHH! SO good. I loved each and every page of this book. I was wowed with the writing and blown away again by these characters. This whole story is a lot of mixed messages. As things become apparent to them, each of the characters starts to come to the realization that they are only human, and that they can still het their happy ending.
This novel was Danny and Liv's journey to finally and truly finding each other. The alternating POV's in this book really gave you an insight into each of the characters and where they stood. Through out the start of the novel there was such a lack of communication that you actually found it relatable. People aren't always forthcoming with their emotions and feeling and I felt like the way this was written as quite realistic. If that makes sense. It might not, I am confusing myself.
All you need to know is this novel is absolutely fantastic. Kerry WOWS. We finally get our answers and our happy in this book. It was a great read and I highly recommend it.
Synopsis:
Danny and Liv are back...
Danny loves Liv. He knows he loves her more than she loves him because she ran without a word when she saw their future mapped out before her. He knows he will never love anyone like he loved her and this time he doesn’t think he can move on.
Liv loves Danny. She knows she loves him more than he loves her because he broke her heart in the worst possible way, right when things were falling into place. She knows she will never love anyone like she loves him and this time she doesn’t think she can move on.
They needed a second chance because they just weren’t ready for their first, but when events changed everything between them, they discovered they were just human after all. Now Liv and Danny have to find a way to survive being hurt by each other.
They doubted, they underestimated and they did believe the worst, but only because they were too young the first time and too vulnerable the second time. But now they have changed and if they are not the same, surely things can only turn out differently?
