This book Gutted me. I haven't read a novel that made me want to just sit and cry in a very long time. The emotion that Molly evokes with this book is completely genuine and heart breaking.
I can't even find the words to talk about this book. This novel is a whole new level for Molly. She had had me on the edge before with her books but this was a whole new level.
Knox and Harlow have a story that needs to be told, but beware, their story is now that took them down paths no person should have to endure. Knox and Harlow had the kind of love that some people only read about in books. It was the kind of love you wish for and had levels of romance that had you swooning as you read. Then life happened and they drifted apart.
Harlow life is a living nightmare. Letting Knox go those years ago was the worst mistake she ever could have made. Every day she hopes that things will change and each day they grow worse.
With Knox back she finally has a chance to escape her life and let him save her, but will she?
Things aren't that easy.
From the first page of this novel it held my heart in its grasps. With the turn of each page a little more of my was lost with Harlow and what she was living with.
This novel was a work of art. It puts you through the wringer and simultaneously saves you. I don't want to give anything away, but if you want a novel about second chances and fighting for true love than this novel is IT for you.
Synopsis:
In the second book in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams’ Thatch series, Knox Alexander must convince his long-time love Harlow Evans that they’re meant to be together.
He promised to wait for her.
She told him he was wasting his time.
Not waiting for him ended up being the biggest mistake of her life.
When they were younger, Knox Alexander swore to Harlow Evans that he would wait for her to turn eighteen so they could be together. But that was three and a half years away, and Harlow couldn’t ask him to give up all the fun and thrills of going away to college for her. As the years passed, Knox remained a constant in her life—whether she liked it or not—but when her eighteenth birthday came around, Harlow’s heart belonged to someone else.
Every day for the last four years, Harlow has been haunted by that fateful choice. And though he may appear unaffected by what happened in their past, Knox has always tried to fill the void Harlow left. But when he comes stumbling back into her life and refuses to leave, will Harlow finally let him into her heart…?
