My TOP Reads of 2016! This was SO HARD to narrow down!

2016 Sometimes I have a year where there are a few standout novels that I know will make this list hands down. This year though, 2016, I swear almost ever single book I read was a jaw dropper. Over 150 books total and I had the worst trouble picking a mere few to list. This is my top 22. All my 6 star and a few of my top 5 star reads. But checkout everything. Browse around. I may not be as big a blogger as others out there, but I have a passion for reading and these books moved me. Maybe a few will move you too.
Lets start with my TOP TOP read. It was hands down A Court of Mist and Fury.(Which is ON SALE!) This book was beautiful and wonderful and everything I wanted and more in the series. It brought me to tears and also gave me hope. It was about healing and seeing your own truths in the world. About doing whatever you need to save those who mattered to you, no matter the cost. This series is about love and survival. See my full review here: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
Second to this I would have to go with Sarah's other series and it's newest release, Empire of Storms (On Sale currently!). Fantasy reads are my THING. I love the fact that I can not only get lost in them, but I fall in love with the characters page after page. If you haven't read the rest of this series, do it. If you have, then you should know what you are in store for and be aware that the ending of this GUTS you. It completely shatters your heart and breaks you. I can't wait to see what is in store for us next. See my review here: Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
The rest of these are in order of when I read them. From Jan 2016- Dec 2016. It was the easiest way to list them and not show any other bias towards my favorites. Though there are some in there, how can there not be. If I tried to put them in an actual order than I would have driven myself a bit more off my rocker. That wouldn't have been good for any of us. If you don't see your top read on the list, comment! I want to know what it was! I want ALL THE BOOKS! I want to share the book love. If it was? Tell me that too! I love gushing over shared book joy. →Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson This is the absolute most detailed and beautiful fantasy series that I have ever read. The world building is exquisite. I can't believe I waited so long to read this series. Covers aside, epic.
→Iniquity (The Premonition, #5) by Amy A. Bartol I have never loved a bad guy as much as I did reading this series and this book.
→Cloud Shifters by Katie Pottle So inventive! This book is a clean YA read that I just loved. Coming of age and all around fun!
→The Never Never Trilogy by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher Can we say mind fuck? I have no other way to phrase it. This trilogy threw me for a loop. SO confusing and so great!
→The Raven by Sylvain Reynard (Florentine Series) A vampire series in Florence that gives us all the love of Gabriel's Inferno with a twist of paranormal!
→Chosen Fool by Scarlett Dawn Favorite Quote: "True love is too passionate. It always comes back in the end, deeper than life's involvements, and even deeper than mates." That should say it all. Scarlett is a paranormal genius with her writing.
→The Faerie Prince by Rachel Morgan (Really this whole darn series.) Ok. I see a tree with my love this year and Rachel is feeing into it. FAERIES! I adored this series.
→November 9 by Colleen Hoover Favorite Quote: "As smooth as I tried to be, I didn't ease into this girl's life with the discreet grace of a fox. I barged into it with the subtly of a fifteen-thousand-pound elephant."
→The Matchmaker's Playbook by Rachel Van Dyken All the things we love about Rachel and IT COMES TO LIFE WHILE YOU READ!
→Last Mile by Katie Ashley Motorcycles <3 That is all I have to say.
→Tapping The Billionaire by Max Monroe Absolutely hilarious. I love this duo and this book was great!
→Demand by Lisa Renee Jones Ok. I am a huge fan of this author and this series is addicting. I wanted answers and I was as much on the hunt as the characters. A thrilling love story with all the romance and suspense you could ask for.
→Ride Hard by Laura Kaye Again, MOTORCYCLES!
→Everdeep by Candace Knoebel A thrilling paranormal that twists typical plot lines and has you rooting for true love to prevail.
→Empire by Rachel Van Dyken I die. These Mafia boys kill me over and over.
→Hard Rules by Lisa Renee Jones This is exactly what the cover says, Sons of Anarchy meets Wallstreet, minus the murder. So far. I laughed and I got addicted. Real fast. I need the answers to all the secrets!
→Fallen Crest University by Tijan Logan. Yummm.
→Unknown by Wendy Higgins I didn't read the synopsis and this book threw me. It was so good and felt SO REAL. Imma need the nest book and I need it now! Aliens, corruption, and the end of the world. Yep.
→Mr. President by Katy Evans I need THIS to be a reality post-haste.
→The Bound by K.A. Linde This series has SO much potential and it grabs you right from the start. By the time I got to the end I was dying or the nest book. A fantasy series that rivals most I have read!
