Meg's Review:
Like with Connected you start the book thinking it is going one way and BAM it turns a totally different direction. We are not left wanting though my friends so don't despair. We pick right off where we left off with Connected. Ben is alive. What the heck! I don't know about you, but I am NOT thrilled about this fact, though ti does make for a twisted story in the near chapters.
Can you see where this may be going? Yeah? Your wrong. Its going so many other directions you wont know what hit you. Torn. Dahlia. Ben. River. Us. The Story. It's all Torn. We watch these characters get pulled apart by this situation and feel the pain and joy along with them. This story dives far deeper into the emotional level of everyone's relationships. You really get to know them. In book one the bonds were formed, and in book two they are stretched and tempted at the limits.
"You Were Wrong. River, We are in pieces."
Ben is back and Dahlia is understandably pulled into two directions. Ben and River. Her and River have something great, but I mean her fiancé is back from the dead. That is bound to mess with anyone's head. To top that you have other people pushing you in all these different directions on top of these major life decisions. You can imagine how well THAT plan turned out.
It's a real story with real relationship problems. The Insecurities, the reactions, the writing itself, was all very relatable. I was sucked into the story and had no want to come out until the end. It was a great read. I was hooked in Connected and like you all HAD to find out what was going to happen. I wanted for River and Dahlia so badly to get their HEA that there was no way I wasn't jumping head first into this story.
"There are no pieces, I promise you
Glass can shatter and bones may break
But I will always call, I will always find you"
