Amy's Review:
Char Taylor is an emotionally scared 24year old single lady. She is beautiful and talented and comes from an amazingly supportive family. Her life is essentially perfect .. if you don't count the whole ex-boyfriend who cheated with her best friend thing. Char is the type of girl I would be best friends with, quick whit, funny, honest, loyal. After her ex played her for a fool, love is the last thing on her mind. Too bad the universe had other plans for her.
Riley Kincaid has had a bad year. His parents died, his sister and her husband screwed him over, he is just .. lost. Boston seems like a great place to relocate and start over for him when he feels his life slipping away, plus he loves the Red Sox. A craigs list ad and a run in with a crazy mini-mart bitch cause all the pieces of his new life to start fitting together. I love Riley's character! He is not afraid to lay it all on the table .. for his job, for his girl, for the life he wants.
Derrick is Char's best friend and Riley's new roommate. A casual dinner and a lot of flirting leading to a whirl-wind love story. A love story built on a baseball metaphor and 2 emotionally fragile souls .... is fate on their side?
The story line was similar to others I have read but had enough meat to keep me going until the end. My heart wasn't gripped by this tale, but it was a super good love story and would be a great read for an easy afternoon! I am looking forward to see where this story turns takes us with the rest of this series.
At the end of the ebook is a play list for Touch Me. Listening to those songs brought me closer to the book. Make sure to check out the songs after you read! I could feel Char and Riley and their story in every song ...
