So I jumped into this novel based on loving the first one in the series. Not a bad decision in the end. It was a great read and I remembered why I enjoyed S.L. Jennings writing in the first place.
The only downside to NOT reading the synopsis when you jump into the book is being blind sighted by something that was blatantly pointed out. In the end it made for even more of a surprise. I had a big revelation in those first few chapters that those who read the synopsis already knew was coming.
So boo on you. That means the book was even BETTER for me.
Ha.
Okay. So this novel was great. It followed Heidi and her ultimately passion filled journey to finding true happiness. I really wasn't sure where it was going to go or how things were going to work out from chapter to chapter.
Jennings has a talent unique to her writing in which you find yourself putting on the shoes of the main character. Even unintentionally. I was constantly banging my head figuratively again my reader because of decisions or thoughts Heidi was having.
It was totally that kind of book. With a rock star. Do you really need to know more?
Hot. The word doesn't even begin to cover this novel and everything going on with it. Read it. Fall in deep. A Tryst is not what Heidi has at all, yet it perfectly begins this story.
