Meg's Review:

I raved about the first book in this series and this one was Ten thousands times as good! I adored it. Granny takes her love for family to another level and its a joy to experience. I swear I almost peed my pants a few times in this book I laughed so hard. I was gifted this book by Rachel as an appreciation to bloggers and I am SO thankful I had the chance to read it. I bought the first book and subsequently bought this one after reading it as well. I felt the need to support her how I could. I know showering us bloggers with free books came out of her pocket. Please do the same if you love this as much as The Bet! Jake is a player. After the debacle with The Bet he just needs to get back home and get over all this. Luck Granny is coming too! She feels the need to knock him down a few notches and I agree. Char. She loved Jake for a long time while they were children. And Teens. And Young Adults. And Adults. What does she want to do when she sees him again for the first time in a while. Knock him down a few notches. The journey in this book is as hilarious as the one in book one. I couldn't get over how great it was! I still can't. Lives are messed with and journeys are taken but in the end its two people finding out that what they need is right in front of them. I loved that even with this being Jake and Char's book we still got some Travis and Kacey love. This book was brilliant and wonderful. I enjoyed every page of it and cannot wait to read book three and hopefully get more! Read it! Buy it! Please check out my review for book one :)

THE WAGER Lose a bet, lose your heart... What is it about a junior-high crush that can send an otherwise intelligent woman into a tailspin? TV reporter Char Lynn wishes she knew. Jake Titus is too rich, too handsome, too arrogant: a trifecta that once lured Char into the best night-and worst morning-after-of her life. Now they've been thrown together in a wedding party. It's awkward, but survivable . . . until Jake stops acting like a jerk, and starts acting like the man she'd always hoped he could be. If watching your brother marry your best friend is weird, being attracted to your best friend's other best friend is downright bizarre. Unfortunately for Jake, Char hasn't forgotten how he once tossed her aside. Worse still, Jake's already-nutty grandma is even crazier about Char. Cue meet-cute shenanigans and all manner of meddling, and somehow, Jake's falling. For Char. Now all he has to do is make her believe it . . . The Wager on Amazon The Wager on Goodreads
